My artwork is, foremost, an exploration in color theory. The aim in every painting is to intrigue viewers by means of the applied color palette. Instead of focusing on conveying specific information accurately, I find more joy in revealing the emotions of a scene or of a human expression through the use of unusual color combinations and spatial arrangements. What interests me most is when a viewer recalls an old memory from a specfic color scheme or discovers new feelings from never-before-seen color pairings. I like the fact that this discovery does not always happen instantly and that every person's relationship to color is unique. This fascination of mine extends into everyday life forcing me to notice all the unusual color pairings I see around me and to occasionally dress in complementary colors. The perception of sight should be exercised.

I have a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design and live in Manhattan.
